1. Eligibility: The CHALLENGE is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia ("D.C."), and Canada (except Quebec) (collectively, the "CHALLENGE Region"), who: (A) presently are located and living in the CHALLENGE Region; (B) are 21 years of age or older; (C) have an active and valid e-mail address at time of entry; and (D) are employed full- or part-time as an educator, administrator or librarian in a school/school district in one of the eligible jurisdictions listed above.(Home schools are excluded.) The CHALLENGE is void in Quebec, outside the CHALLENGE Region, and wherever prohibited by law. Employees of CHALLENGE Entities, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, promotion, marketing and advertising agencies, and members of the immediate families (defined for these purposes as including spouses, biological, adoptive and step-parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts and uncles, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of whether living in the same household) or households (regardless of whether related) of any of the above persons, are NOT eligible to participate in this CHALLENGE or to receive any prize hereunder. Proof of eligibility may be required. As used herein, the terms "you" and "contestant" refer to an eligible person who submits an entry in accordance with these Official Rules.
3. CHALLENGE Entry Period: Entry into the CHALLENGE begins February 1, 2011 at 12:00:01 a.m. Central Time ("CT") and ends on June 1, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. CT, by which date/time all entries must be received (the "Entry Period"). Voting Period: 6/23/2011 - 9/1/2011
4. CHALLENGE Objective: The CHALLENGE is an opportunity for educators, school administrators and school librarians across the United States to help promote the value of their roles as advocates for information literacy and student engagement. Librarians who are applying their skills in technology, content and teaching to effectively engage students in literacy, comprehension and critical thinking are invited to apply.
5. How to Enter the CHALLENGE:
(A) Develop a plan describing an existing information
literacy based local school program for students, demonstrating how the program makes
use of technology and content to improve student engagement. Plan should include how the
program could be improved and/or expanded. It should also include:

(B) Go to www.follettchallenge.com , (the "Site") and create an account (no charge is required to register for an account). To create an account, complete the registration form on the Site ("Registration Form") with your name, email address, birth date and any other required information. Once registration is complete, follow all on-screen instructions to upload an Entry that complies fully with these Rules.
All Submissions must be received no later than 11:59:59 p.m. CT on June 1, 2011. The computer clock of the Administrator is the official time-keeping device of the CHALLENGE. Participants are solely responsible for Internet connectivity, software and/or hardware that may be required in order to submit an Entry. All entries must be submitted online in accordance with these Rules. No other method of entry into this CHALLENGE will be permitted. All Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
(C) Upon successful completion of the entry process, you will be entered in the CHALLENGE, and your Submission will be posted on the Site for viewing and voting by the general public (see voting details in Rule 9 (A), below). You may submit as many Entries as you wish provided each is different and submitted separately. Only one (1) entry may win.
In the event of a dispute, Entries will be deemed made by the account holder of the email address who uploaded the Entry, as identified at the time of Entry.
Sponsor reserves the right to review and void any Submission it feels, in its sole discretion, does not comply with these Official Rules or that would be considered to be offensive to the viewing public or damaging to the Follett brands. Sponsor may so void any Submission at any time during the Entry, Voting or Judging Periods.

Entrants may be required to provide proof of any applicable consent or permission from third parties with respect to the foregoing.
BY SUBMITTING AN ENTRY, EACH CONTESTANT WARRANTS AND REPRESENTS THAT HIS/HER ENTRY COMPLIES WITH ALL CONDITIONS STATED IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES, AND AGREES THAT THE CHALLENGE ENTITIES WILL BEAR NO LEGAL LIABILITYREGARDING THE USE OF THE ENTRY BY THE CHALLENGE ENTITIES, AND THAT THE CHALLENGE ENTITIES SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY CONTESTANT IN THE EVENT IT IS SUBSEQUENTLY DISCOVERED THAT THE CONTESTANT HAS NOT FULLY COMPLIED WITH ANY OF THE OFFICIAL RULES.
9. Winner Selection Process: A maximum of six (6) winners ("Finalists") will be selected in a two-part process, as described below:
(A) Public Voting: All eligible submissions will be posted for public viewing and voting on the Site starting at 12:00:01 a.m. CT, on June 23, 2011 and ending at 11:59:59 pm CT on September 1, 2011 (the "Public Voting Period"). Eligible members of the public ("Eligible Voters") may vote for their favorite Entry up to one (1) time per day, subject to these Rules, the terms of use of the Site, and any voting instructions be posted on the Site. In order to be an Eligible Voter, you must be: a legal resident of one of the 50 United States, D.C., or Canada (except Quebec); 21 years of age or older at the time of entry; and registered on the Site. No more than one (1) vote is allowed per email address/household per day. All votes must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. CT on September 1, 2011.
Votes that do not comply in all respects with these Rules, or that result from fraud or collusion, will be disqualified and rendered void. If a Contestant is found to have engaged in such fraud or collusion, in Sponsor's, Administrator's or judges' opinion, s/he will be disqualified as a Contestant and will not be eligible to win a prize in this CHALLENGE. Other reasons for which votes may be declared void include but are not limited to the following:
(B) Judging: In addition to the Voters Choice, all entries will be judged by a panel of five qualified judges consisting of four (4) library/education professionals and one (1) Follett representative on the basis of the following criteria:
The judging will take place in McHenry, IL. On the basis of the judging criteria described above, the judges will ultimately choose winners by or about September 8, 2011. The potential winners will be notified on or about September 9, 2011. Winners will be announced on the Site on or about October 27, 2010. The final determination of one's status as a winner will be dependent on verification of his/her eligibility. Any winner deemed ineligible will forfeit his/her prize, which will then be awarded to an alternate winner chosen from among the remaining Finalists on the basis of the judging results. The judges' decisions as to the selection of winners shall be final, binding and non-appealable.
The judges may choose fewer than five (5) Winners depending on the quantity and (in their opinion) quality, of the Finalist Entries. The Entrant who receives the highest overall score based on the judging criteria will be declared the Grand Prize winner (subject to verification). The four (4) Entrants who receive the next-highest overall scores will be declared the First, Second, Third and FourthPrize winners (subject to verification). In the event of a tie at any prize level, the tied entrant with the highest score in the "[popular vote]" will be declared the winner, and the other tied entrant will become a winner in the prize level immediately below the level at which the tie occurred. However, if the tie is for the sixth place in the First Prize level, then the other tied entrant will not be declared a winner. The confirmed Winners' names (first names and last initials) may be posted on the Site and will be available by mail request, as described below. The odds of winning a prize depend on the number and calibre of eligible Entries received.
10. Prizes: Six (6) Prizes will be available to be won, as follows: The Voter's Choice Winner will be awarded Follett library materials valued at $10,000for his/her school
The Grand Prize Winner will be awarded $35,000 worth of Follett library materials for his/her School; the First Prize Winner will be awarded $20,000 worth of Follett library materials for his/her School; the Second Prize Winner will receive $15,000 worth of Follett library materials for his/her School and the Third and Fourth Place Winners will each receive $10,000 worth of Follett library materials for their School.
All prizes must be accepted as described herein and claimed in accordance with these Rules; otherwise, (A) the potential prize winner will forfeit all rights to receive his/her prize; (B) Sponsor shall be relieved of any and all obligations or liability to such potential prize winner; and (C) Sponsor shall have the right to select an alternate potential prize winner from among the remaining Finalists on the basis of the judging results. Actual total number of prizes awarded and total prize value may vary as noted previously. Winners who are U.S. residents will be solely responsible for all state, federal and local income taxes on prizes. Tax liability for prize winners who are U.S. residents will be based on the actual values of their respective prizes, and U.S. winners of Grand Prizes will each be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the value of the prize. No prize substitutions, cash redemptions or transfers allowed except as provided herein, or at discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor may substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of equal or greater value if an advertised prize (or portion thereof) becomes unavailable.
All potential winners are subject to verification of before any prize will be awarded. If a potential winner is employed by a school/district that has a policy, practice, restriction or agreement that prevents such potential winner from accepting the prize, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and awarded to an alternate potential prize winner from among the remaining Finalists on the basis of the judging results.
11. Winner Notification/Prize Claim Process: The Sponsor will notify each potential winner via the email address, telephone number or postal address s/he provided at the time of entry into the CHALLENGE. Each potential winner will be required to sign and properly execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release or Declaration and Release, as applicable, and where legal, a Publicity Release, and to return all required documents within ten (10) days of first written notification or the potential prize winner may be disqualified and his/her prize may be awarded to an alternate potential winner chosen from among the remaining Finalists on the basis of the judging results.
If a prize is not claimed in accordance with these Official Rules, or if any prize notification or documentation is returned as undeliverable, or if a potential prize winner fails to properly execute and timely return all required documents described herein, or if a potential winner is deemed ineligible to receive a prize, the corresponding prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner chosen from among the remaining eligible Finalists on the basis of the judging results.
12. General: Participation in this CHALLENGE constitutes each Contestant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and Sponsor, which shall be final, binding and non-appealable in all matters related to the CHALLENGE. Contestants will be disqualified if they fail to abide by these Official Rules. Contestants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay or misdirection of Entries submitted in this CHALLENGE, and agree that any prize awarded is awarded upon the condition that Sponsor, its judges, Administrator, and promotion/advertising agencies, and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries, and the officers, directors, partners, principals, partnerships, employees and agents of each of the foregoing (collectively, the "Released Parties"), shall have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless from and against, any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons or property, including without limitation death, sustained, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, in connection with or resulting from acceptance, possession or use/misuse of a prize, or participation in this CHALLENGE or participation in any CHALLENGE-related or prize-related activities, including any travel related thereto. Contestants further acknowledge that the Released Parties, to the extent allowed by law, have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. As a condition of entering, Contestants agree that: (A) under no circumstances will Contestants be permitted to obtain awards for, and each Contestant hereby waives, all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; (B) the CHALLENGE will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflicts of laws principles, and all causes of action arising out of or connected with this CHALLENGE, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action and shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of Illinois applying Illinois law; and (C) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the CHALLENGE, but in no event attorney's fees. THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AS SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW SOME OF THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY LISTED ABOVE. NOTHING IN THESE RULES SEEKS TO LIMIT OR EXCLUDE LIABILITY WHERE NOT PERMISSIBLE UNDER LOCAL LAW. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR PROHIBITIONS REGARDING SUCH LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS.
By entering, Contestants agree that the Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) electronic transmissions/Entries that are lost, late, stolen, incomplete, illegible, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected or not received by Sponsor or Administrator for any reason; (ii) any problems or technical malfunctions, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmission, communication failures or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of Entries, or for destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries; (iii) failed or unavailable hardware, network, software or telephone transmissions, damage to Contestants' or any person's computer and/or its contents, or causes beyond Sponsor's reasonable control that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this CHALLENGE, including without limitation virus, bugs and non-authorized human intervention; (iv) any Entries submitted in a manner that is not expressly allowed under these Rules; (v) incorrect or inaccurate Entry-related information whether caused by Contestants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the CHALLENGE; (vi) any typographical or other error in the printing or advertising of this offer, administration or execution of the CHALLENGE, or in the announcement of prize winners; or (vii) cheating or fraud by any Contestant or voter.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE SITE OR ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CHALLENGE MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAW. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW AND TO DISQUALIFY HIM/HER FROM THE CHALLENGE.
13. By accepting a prize, each Winner agrees that Sponsor may use winner's first name/last initial, likeness, photograph and/or limited biographical information without limitation, for promotional, advertising or trade purposes in commerce and in all media worldwide, now known or hereafter devised, without further notice, consideration or payment, except where prohibited by law.
14. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this CHALLENGE should (in the Sponsor's or Administrator's opinion) human error, virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or any other causes corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the CHALLENGE. If the CHALLENGE Entry Period is terminated before the stated end date, the judges will select the Finalists and the ultimate winners from among all eligible Submissions received prior to the date/time of termination. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds (in the Sponsor's or Administrator's opinion), to be tampering with or attempting to tamper with the entry process, voting process or the operation of the CHALLENGE or Site, or to be engaging in conduct intended to annoy, harass, threaten or abuse any other persons or entities, including without limitation, Sponsor, any other Entrants, the judges, Administrator or Sponsor's representatives.
15. Privacy Policy: By entering, each Participant agrees to the use of the personal information submitted with his/her Entry only for the purpose of administering the CHALLENGE and in accordance with the Sponsor's Privacy Policy at www.FollettChallenge.com .
16. Winners List: The names of the winners will be posted on the Site following verification of all winners. For a list of Winners by mail, send a self-addressed, stamped #10 business- size envelope to: Follett Challenge Contest, Attention: Marketing, 2233 West Street, River Grove, IL, 60171-1895. 17. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, Entrant agrees that: (1) these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of the Entrant and Sponsor in connection with this Contest shall be governed and construed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws; and (2) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded in conjunction with this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the state courts sitting in Cook County, Illinois or the federal courts in the Northern District of Illinois.
